Hello, I am Associate Professor Doctor Murat AYDIN. Born in Ankara in 1981, I graduated from the prestigious Ankara Science High School in 1999. I completed my medical degree at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 1999 and 2005, followed by orthopaedic and traumatology specialist residency training at Ankara University between 2006 and 2011.
My specialist thesis — supervised by Prof. Dr. Mehmet S. Binnet — was the first study in Turkey on in-vitro cartilage regeneration and autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI) for knee cartilage defects, establishing an early foundation for biological and tissue-preserving orthopaedics.

2012: Defined safe surgical margins and standards for electrocautery use in intra-operative local adjuvant therapy for aggressive bone tumours in world orthopaedic literature.
2016: First anthropological radiological investigation of acetabulo-pelvic hip parameters in the adult Turkish population.
2021: Multicentre investigation and definition of post-operative residual symptoms and gabapentin therapy following carpal tunnel release.
2022: Developed an innovative surgical fixation technique for medial malleolar ankle fractures with an 8-year follow-up control group study.
