Frequently Asked Questions

Is shoulder arthroscopy under general anaesthesia?

+
Yes, combined with an interscalene nerve block for 12–18 hours of post-operative pain relief.

How soon can I fly?

+
3–5 days after surgery with the arm in a sling — comfortable for a 3–4 hour flight.

Open vs. arthroscopic?

+
Arthroscopy uses 5mm portals instead of a 10–15cm incision — less pain, lower infection risk, faster recovery.
